Boxing Day
Boxing Day was more of a relaxed day than Christmas Day, mainly because everyone was shattered. We had our Boxing Day lunch (the meat left over from the day before, Grandad's crinkly chips with beetroot, red cabbage and bread) and it was as delicious as ever. The children tried out more of their toys, including their new roller-skates and I am definitely not jealous and not trying to find my own.. We played two drawing competitions in the afternoon, one to find the funniest face and one to find the best Christmas tree. My Dad was the judge and he took it very very seriously, he wouldn't change his final decisions, even when my 5 year old cousin threw a little strop that he didn't win. We left at around 5 and as we drove away, being waved off by everyone in the doorway, I realised that this was actually the best Christmas ever.
